White Italian Silk Charmeuse & Lace Gown

$418.00 Sold out

Incredible ivory bias-cut silk charmeuse gown with a net bust covered in lace appliqué that cascades down the front. Double spaghetti straps loop near the shoulder, connected to another double strap at the back. The skilled maker of this piece crafted darts in the lace & net at the bust that give it a beautiful shape. This piece is by Loretta Caponi, an Italian couture house that opened in the early-mid 1900's, still operating today. Her pieces feature incredible craftsmanship, and pieces similar to this one from her couture lingerie line sell for at least 1,200 euro new. The sheer amount of silk in this piece is wild, and hard to find today. We tried to show the yardage and huge sweep of this gown in the product shots. Such a special piece that would be great for a bride as well. The luxurious fabric skims the body flawlessly with incredible movement.
