1930's Hammered Silk Satin Lampas Backless Gown

$848.00

One of the best restorations we have done to date. This is a 1930's bias-cut hammered silk satin lampas gown in a stunning fuchsia, purple, indigo and white floral with flashes of metallic silver. We reinforced all the seams, refinished the hems, and replaced the back strap. There is a single strip of periwinkle silk chiffon attached in two areas on the back that slide through two loops in the top of the bodice to create a halter neck. It can be worn a couple different ways. The strap may need to be adjusted depending on the length of your torso, so we left plenty of material for tailoring. It would be worth it for a gown this special to fit perfectly. There is no zipper or side snaps, but the bias cut allows room to slide the dress on and off. The dramatic plunging back is only complemented by the trumpet flare and the volume in the train. Stunning.
