Edwardian Silk Pleated Mourning Cape

Stunning inky black sheer micro-pleated silk mourning cape from the late 1800's-early 1900's. Stunning ruffled silk net collar and beaded appliqués with dangling strands of black beads. The cape is lined with silk and there is a stiffer material inside to maintain its structure. There are 5 hook-and-eye closures from the top of the neck down about 5-6." It is in great condition, there is some minor bead loss and some tearing in the net on the collar. This is a great layering piece and it would be incredible over a black silk or lace gown.
