Edwardian Beaded + Soutache Bobbinet Dress

$568.00

The most incredible knee-length dress made entirely of cream-colored bobbinet, embellished with embroidery and bead work from the early 1900's-1910's. A soutache filigree embroidery fills the skirt, bodice, and sleeves accented with a floral motif of sunflowers filled with pale pink glass beads in the center. There is a fullness in the back of the skirt and the beading gives it weight so it has beautiful movement. The dress has a short seam running up the front but it is mostly open with hook-and-eye closures. the neck features a ruffle that can be tied together as well if desired. This dress has several holes when it came to us, all of which have been repaired and reinforced with netting from the same period. This would be a great bridal piece as well. Sizing is flexible as well!
