1950's Matte Black Silk Jersey Top

The cutest 1950's black matte silk jersey top. The design is surprisingly modern, it looks like it could be from the 90's or early 2000's. It features gathering and smocking in rows around the arms and bust to create a little draped cap sleeve and gathered bust, creating the sweetest neckline. It's super slinky, skimming the body and falling around the hips. Darts up the back maintain the fitted shape, and a single seam travels up the center front. It zips up the side, and features a raw hem at the bottom that has been cut with pinking sheers to help prevent fraying. It appears it could have been a dress at some point, but it's the perfect slinky black top, incredibly versatile for styling and slightly flexible with sizing because of the jersey knit.
